risk assessment
Every tree in Calgary’s urban environment poses a level of risk to both people and property, whether very low or otherwise. Living with and around trees means that as property owners we have a duty of care for trees on our property and the responsibility to establish a level of risk which we are willing to accept and live with.
At Tree Logic we are able to perform detailed visual inspections of your trees from both the ground and through canopy access to establish potential hazards and failure points. We looks for structural weakness, signs of decay, branch overloading etc. We are then able to identify targets (people or property) for trees or specific tree parts. From the gathered information we are able perform a risk evaluation that is based on the likelihood of impact and the consequences of failure.
We provide you with a qualitative risk assessment outlining the level of risk posed by the trees or tree parts of concern. We are then able to provide options, such as pruning and/or bracing and cabling to mitigate that risk to a level that is acceptable to you.

It is important to understand that a risk assessment is not a guarantee that a tree or a tree part will or will not fail. A risk assessment is never final; as environmental factors change so does the level of risk. A risk assessment is meant to inform your decision of what is an acceptable level of risk with which you are comfortable.
