Stump grinding is a great way to start fresh after removing an existing tree. Our machine is self-propelled and is able to grind 6-12 inches below grade. This allows us to remove visible stumps and surface roots.

Depending on the tree species suckering may occur after removal, stump and surface root grinding can help reduce suckering and help accelerate root decomposition.

Pricing is on a per inch basis, depending on the diameter of the stump, visible root flare and surface root.

We require that clients get utility locates before stump and root removal, this ensures we don’t damage costly underground infrastructure and prevent injury. Utility Safety is a free locates service available to homeowners and typically takes 3-4 days to complete.
